Ruis + Jazmin | Romantic Old Town Wedding | Albuquerque, NM
The forecast was calling for stormy rain all day. The night before I talked with Jazmin to assure her that her wedding will be perfect with our without the storm. We prayed.
Jazmin may have been freaking out on the inside, but seemed calm and collected from the outside. She shared the most beautiful quote.
"Rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel!"
Brides like Jazmin are why I love what
I do!
It rained the morning of, and stopped right before decorations needed to go up. During the ceremony it was sunny and beautiful. The rain held off until that evening after the ceremony and photos. Talk about a perfect day and perfect timing!
Family members coming into town made this day extra special. The wedding party consisted of Ruis and Jazmin's Brothers and sisters, and their close relationships with each other really shined through!
When It came time for the toasts, each brother and sister shared a heart felt message and there wasn't a dry eye in sight. Every person came back to the same message on how amazing both Ruis and Jazmin are amazing as people. Jazmin has also become a step mom to Azael, and everyone became so emotional when talking about how amazing she is to him as a mom.
There was so much love in one room.
When I met with Ruis and Jazmin we instantly connected and it felt as though we had known each other for years. They decided on a sunrise engagement session at the top of the Sandia mountains. And despite the early wake up call, we had a blast seeing all the animals and watching the sun come up. From then on, I knew we'd be friends long after their wedding day!
Ruis and Jazmin were so in love and so gracious to everyone who attended and helped make their wedding day become a dream come true. They gifted flower seeds to 'watch love grow', and honey to their guests, and made sure everyone had a great time! The photo-booth was a hit, and they made sure to get a fun shot with every guest, including the photographers!
It was such an honor getting to capture such a special time in your lives, and show the love you two have for each other.
Congrats Ruis & Jazmin!
